The purpose of this page is to sell parts but also to encourage
some to build what they can imagine or need.

These are simple but no one under a smart 15-16 should operate without an adult present.

The stator case wall is 19mm thick to add strength. Easy to clamp "feet".

Against all my machinist sense but for those without one:

To save bending and damaging shafts I suggest trying
industrial heat cured bond or even JB quick weld w/48hr cure.
Clamp disk stack/washers & neo-back endwashers listed below.
Cure shaft/disk assembly* with outer plates less gasket(s) for pressure on centre between bearings.
*Use metal washers if heat curing.
If you then do not like the configuration
or it breaks you can make a new one or try to drift the old shaft out.
My demo unit is marine 2 part heat bonded and has
yet too fail or show wear with load.

These motors shock even me for durability.
Easy to service & 1.8kgs or less assembled so good for hiking & remote locations.

until past the 1980's so it's how things work not look that really counts.

The shaft getting hit is only real risk to operation imo.
The disks are safer/cheaper slipping than stripping a shaft and disk.
The large washer and shaft knurling provide excellent surface bonding
Little to no vibration in motor to cause fatigue cracks. Remember these are to build upon not just put on the shelf.
If impact, heavy constant loads or shock to shaft is a concern locking collars and
or a keyway/pinned collars w/set screws should be fitted of course.
I have hardened shafts to fit bearings this week with a flat for set screw.
